May 31, 1985 – February 9, 2003
Matthew Warren Lane, Son of Randy and Diana Lane, Brother to Andy and twin Dan Matt, (Matthew like to be called twin _ A) He barely took a breath when he was born and scared us half to death. But from that day on he lived and lived well! Matt was a outgoing, personable, friendly person. He knew no strangers and was truly a delight to be around. He was daring and loving, kind and humble. He loved his family and his friends deeply. Matt was loyal to a fault. Matt had wanted to be a teacher and a coach. He would have made an awesome high school teacher.

We will never be the same. Matt has left a legacy to us and to his friends. He wore a bracelet everyday. That bracelet simply said “Believe” . When I asked him what it meant, he told me that it meant he had self confidence. That he knew that if he tried hard enough he could do anything, That bracelet still is on my wrist. I have worn it every minute since his passing. And many of his friends and even some people he did not know are wearing “Believe” brace.

Billy was a wonderful 16 year old. He enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. He loved people and he loved sports, especially baseball. He played on the varsity team at his high school. He was very popular and tried to be friends with everyone. His life was cut short one day while going to lunch with 4 of his friends. The driver was going to fast and lost control of the car. Billy was in the back seat and his head hit the back window when the car landed on its trunk. He sustained a severe head trauma and went into a coma. He never woke up. We miss him every day. There is a big void in our family without him. He brought life into our home with his cheery smile and his zest for life. We miss you everyday and we love you Billy.

Mom and Michelle, Mamaw and Papaw, miss you so much. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you.

Mitch died in a car accident on Dec 12, 1998 at the age of 19. The reports indicate he fell asleep and ran off the road hitting a tree and then the car caught on fire. Althought they say he died instantly, I will never know. There were no witnesses.
This has left such an empty hole in all of our hearts. The pain diminishes somewhat with time , but never goes away.
We love you.

Our Jessica was on her way to school. She was two months away from becoming a pediatric nurse. A man in an Expedition went through a red light while dialing his cell phone. He T-boned Jessica’s Sunfire, pushing her onto the console. She bent the gear shift in half! Twelve hours later, she died. She never awoke for us to say goodbye. Picking up the keys to a car is like grabbing a gun. If you are not careful, people get killed. Cell phones are great, just not while driving!!
